Marin Kasimir
Marin Kasimir, born in 1957 in Munich, is a contemporary German artist, working in Brussels, a large part of whose work is articulated on the photographic panorama, which he declines in public installations, or also in the form of three-dimensional objects and in publications. In May 2007, as part of the « 101% » operation initiated by the Brussels-Capital Region (an operation that dates from the end of the 90s and which aims to decorate public places with various works of art), the artist Marin Kasimir realized a long fresco of 200 meters on a height of 50 cm in the courtyard of social housing « Le Marbotin ». This « fresco in bloom », illuminated at night, represents the cherry trees of Japan, one of the symbols of the town, as well as a succession of panoramic images of Schaerbeek.
